Allison Walsh (she/her) is a multi-faceted performer, teacher, and choreographer with a 20-year career spanning Broadway, concert dance, TV/Film, and museum performance. During high school she performed with American Ballet Theater, then danced her first professional decade as a soloist with the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago and BalletX of Philadelphia. Next, she premiered the Tony-winning musical An American in Paris at Théatre du Châtelet in Paris before making her Broadway debut at the Palace Theatre. During the run she was both Dance Captain and the Alternate for the leading role of Lise Dassin. Next, she originated the role of Odette/Olga Romanov in the Broadway production of Ahrens and Flaherty’s Anastasia before leading the National Tour of An American in Paris as Lise Dassin. She proudly joined SAG-AFTRA to film the STARZ Limited Series Flesh and Bone and the Taco Bell Commercial, Mexican Pizza: The Musical. Additionally, she has performed with Houston Grand Opera and the Metropolitan Opera. Other career highlights include performances at the White House, Tony Awards, Whitney Biennial, Guggenheim Museum, Barnes Museum, Helsinki International Competition, Despertares México Gala, YAGP Gala, Vail International Dance Festival, Chicago Dancing Festival, and two Original Broadway Cast recordings. Recently, she was on Team Choreography for Sweeney Todd at Signature Theater, and looks forward to working on Guys and Dolls at Opera Saratoga. She is an Advisory Board Member of DanceAspen and Artist Ambassador for Creatives Care, which promotes artist access to affordable, high-quality mental healthcare.
